The problem
Home-service buyers decide in seconds — urgent, stressed, comparing three tabs at once. We wanted proof Clicknify can build the page that wins that decision: instant trust signals, a call/text-first funnel, and a 15-page service architecture that ranks.
A 15-page electrical + HVAC lead-gen site built call/text-first — emergency-strip urgency, service-specific landing pages, and a Denver-metro coverage map, fully static.
Market context: Home services · call-or-text conversion · emergency/urgent-intent traffic · hyper-local SEO · trust-at-first-scan category.

The brief
What the client actually needed.
A self-directed capability proof — not a client engagement. Home-service buyers are comparing three tabs at once, often mid-emergency. The brief I set myself: prove Clicknify can build the page that wins that decision — not just a nice-looking homepage, but the full architecture a local electrician or HVAC business actually needs to rank and convert: service-specific landing pages, city pages, an emergency-first contact strip, and a segmented quote form.
The problem
What was broken — in numbers.
Most home-service sites bury the phone number and make the buyer read a paragraph before finding a way to contact anyone. That loses the emergency-intent visitor in the first five seconds.
- Pages required
- 15 (6 electrical service pages, HVAC hub + detail, 6 supporting pages)
- Conversion pattern
- Conversion-Optimized + Trust — sourced from a home-services design system, not improvised
- Technical constraint
- Static HTML · no backend, no build step
- Acceptance bar
- Phone number visible on every scroll position, not just the header
The approach
What we did. Why.
Trust-and-urgency first. Before any visual polish, the page had to answer three questions in the first viewport: can I call right now, is this licensed, do they serve my city.
- Sticky emergency strip with call/text CTAs visible at every scroll depth, plus a mobile bottom bar (Call / Text / Quote) sized for a stressed thumb
- A 4.5:1-minimum contrast system built around Trust Blue, Safety Orange, and amber CTAs — reserving orange exclusively for urgent/emergency accents so it never gets diluted
- A custom SVG coverage map (not a Google Maps embed) showing the Denver metro and 8 surrounding service cities, matching the brand system instead of breaking it with a generic map widget
- A segmented 2-step quote form — service type, then urgency — instead of one long generic form that a stressed visitor abandons
The execution
Inside the work.
A design system pulled from data, not invented
The color tokens, typography pairing, and conversion pattern came from a home-services design-system query (Trust Blue + Safety Orange + Professional Grey, "Conversion-Optimized + Trust" landing pattern) rather than a from-scratch guess — the same discipline a client engagement would get.
The pulse-line brand mark
A single continuous SVG line — animated stroke-draw on the hero, used as a section divider, and folded into the logo mark itself — built to literally embody "one call, one line, one clean install" rather than just saying it.
Every project card, one visual language
Job-log entries use branded gradient tiles with line-art icons rather than mixed-quality photography, so the portfolio reads as one consistent system regardless of which jobs have real photography yet — a pattern worth reusing for any home-service client still building their photo library.
The outcome
What moved. And why.
A 15-page site that leads with the phone number and still has SEO depth behind it.
- Emergency contact pattern (sticky strip + mobile bottom bar) visible from every page, every scroll position
- Custom coverage map and 9-city service-area architecture built for local SEO, not just a homepage
- Full accessibility pass — focus-visible rings, skip link, 44px+ touch targets, semantic landmarks, schema.org Electrician markup
What didn’t work
Every honest case study has one. This builds more trust than ten testimonials.
The Google reviews and Google Maps embed are both placeholders pending a real business to embed — clearly labeled as sample content rather than presented as genuine social proof. The automated review-collection workflow described on the Reviews page is designed but not wired to a real CRM in this concept build — that integration is real work, but it is client-specific and only makes sense once there is an actual client.
